It offers a mixed terrain of beaches, quiet lanes, forests parallel to the coastline and a ferry crossing before reaching Santiago. It also offers options of crossing over on to the central route at Valenca, Redondela, and Padron.

The Fisherman’s Trail.

An exciting 5/6 day Camino type walk that can be done as early as March and as late as November when other popular Camino walks will more than likely have damp conditions given their locations, especially early Spring and late Autumn.

The Fisherman’s Trail is located in the Algarve regions of Portugal and is a coastal walk starting in the seaside village of Porto Cova and finishing in Odeceixe. A Two-hour bus transfer from Lisbon Airport will get you to Porto Covo and the start of the Fisherman’s trail. Over 5/6 days, you will take in the beautiful coastline and breathtaking views the Fisherman’s trail has to offer while staying each evening in the beautiful little coastal villages along this route.
